John Riding

Director, Marico Marine NZ

John Riding is a founding Director of Marico Marine, which specialises in port risk management solutions. He formed the company in 1999 as a unique marine consultancy deploying marine expertise to facilitate risk based decision-making for movement safety management, port developments, port asset procurement, and managing change in marine services delivery. John was 12years at sea, followed by a Masters Degree and senior experience with the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency. He contributed to the methodologies used today by IMO in developing risk based regulations. He has experience of over 80 port development and marine services risk management projects. Now living in New Zealand, he is developing an antipodean office to complement the companies Southampton base.
